The Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine Office of Special Programs was created to develop programs to meet the continuing education needs of the podiatric physician. As part of an academic institution with a focus on interprofessional education, the Office of Special Programs is able to offer programs to other healthcare practitioners who also encounter foot and ankle conditions.

To enhance the knowledge and competence of podiatric medicine and surgery through lectures, workshops, and simulation for podiatrists and other healthcare professionals in order to continue to provide the best care to their patients and to meet the healthcare needs of the public. Services include:

  • Providing and developing continuing education opportunities for faculty, alumni, and podiatric physicians to address evidence-based medicine in the treatment of lower extremity disorders.
  • Providing grand round sessions for students, residents, and faculty.
  • Facilitating partnerships between Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and internal and external collaborators on continuing education programs in research or clinical areas.

Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine.
